The Group - the History

Mario Argirò was born in the province of Reggio Calabria on May 9th 1916. At the age of 3 he moved to Torino with his family. After he attained a Magistral Diploma he became a specialized Precision Mechanic.

From the age of 26 he worked for the Italian Air Force. He was asked to work for Ard Employed by Saab Aeronautica as a training istructor in the city of Linkoping in Sweden for 3 years. Then he went in South Africa to carry out the same work. When he returned to Italy he received the nomination of Knight for aereonautical merits. In 1956 with a high professional knowledge he established “ The Mario Argirò” with its head offi ce in Torino. In the 1960’s the fi rm began to acquire high class client including the Rai ( for the RAI they adjusted the wire broadcasting System) and the Fiat (the major Italian motor com-pany).

Mario Argirò, was a man of great foresight who always kept abreast of the times. In 1976 he opened a branch offi ce( of the Torino workshop), in the centrai south of Italy in the industriai area of Vasto. This offered further opportunities.The offi ce was closer to the FIAT fi lms in the south of Italy and very dose to important industries such as the Pillkington and the Denso, being able to give these fi rms a skilled tecnologically advanced service. The story of the growth of the Mario Argirò is determined by this man who with great professionalism commited his name forming a reality projected into the future, in coopera-tion with his sons Giuseppe (Sales Director) and Nicola (Company Administrator).
